RES Americas
The RES Group is represented in North America by RES
Americas, which has offices in the US and Canada.
In America, RES is recognised as one of the top renewable
energy companies. We have been developing, constructing, owning,
and operating renewable energy projects since 1997. With over
4GW of renewable projects constructed, which represents
approximately over 10% of the operating wind farms in the US, RES
Americas is a leader in the American renewable energy
industry.
RES Americas encompass all the necessary expertise to create
renewable energy projects; ranging from wind and solar farms and in
the near future biomass and energy storage. Our in-house
expertise ensures a smooth transition, from one phase to the next,
that budgeted costs are met, and the project is completed on
time.
RES Americas developed and constructed its first project in
Tehachapi, California in 1999. In 2001, we co-developed and
constructed the 278 MW King Mountain Wind Ranch, the largest wind
project in the world at the time it was constructed. In
2006, we financed and completed construction of its first
ownership asset in the U.S., the 60 MW Whirlwind wind project in
Texas and in 2008, it completed its second owned project in Texas,
the 166 MW Hackberry wind project.
RES Americas is deeply involved in the research and development
opportunities of other forms of renewable energy, which will play a
larger role in meeting future energy needs. Currently, we are
developing commercial-scale solar projects in several
states. From development to project design, through civil and
electrical engineering, to construction and project operations, RES
Americas delivers quality and reliability.
